Burapha University is committed to becoming a high-quality international university, capable of competing both nationally and globally. In pursuit of this vision, the University not only strives for academic excellence but also emphasizes the importance of enhancing the quality of life for its students. Providing access to adequate facilities and essential services is a key factor influencing students’ and parents’ decisions when choosing a university.
For international students, regular visits to the Sri Racha Immigration Office are required for visa extensions, cancellations, 90-day reporting, and other immigration-related matters. As most international students do not have personal vehicles, travelling by public transport can be inconvenient, unreliable, or even unsafe. Some students resort to using inappropriate modes of transportation, such as motorcycles, which increases the risk of accidents and personal harm.
To address these challenges, Burapha University has launched the Bus to Immigration Sri Racha (BTS) Project, providing safe, convenient, and affordable transportation for international students. This initiative not only supports student well-being and enhances the University’s competitive advantage but also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically:
- Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
- Goal 13: Climate Action
By promoting shared transportation, the project helps reduce carbon emissions, supports environmental responsibility, and fosters a sustainable campus community.
Organized by the Global Relations Center, the project reflects Burapha University’s dedication to improving the quality of life for international students, minimizing communication barriers, and strengthening the University’s reputation as a globally engaged and student-centered institution.
