Burapha University and Wenzhou University of the People’s Republic of China have shared a strong academic partnership since 2007, beginning with the establishment of the Confucius Institute at Burapha University. Over the years, both institutions have actively collaborated through joint academic programs, faculty and student exchanges, and shared research initiatives.
In 2025, two remarkable milestones will be celebrated — the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China, and the 70th anniversary of the founding of Burapha University. To commemorate these historic occasions, the two universities are jointly organizing the “Golden Bridges: 50 Years of Thai–China Friendship – BUU–WZU Art Exhibition 2025.”
This exhibition will showcase the creative works of artists from both universities, highlighting the long-standing cultural and academic ties between Thailand and China. It offers students, faculty, and the general public an opportunity to appreciate meaningful artistic expressions from renowned Thai and Chinese artists.
Aligned with Burapha University’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the exhibition supports:
- Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities (Target 11.4) – Protecting and safeguarding the world’s cultural and natural heritage.
- Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals – Strengthening global partnerships for sustainable development.
This event is also part of Burapha University’s network of collaboration with strategic partner universities, particularly those with expertise in the arts, fostering cross-cultural understanding and international artistic exchange.
Organized by the Global Relations Center, the exhibition stands as a symbolic celebration of Thai–Chinese friendship, reflecting the shared values of creativity, cooperation, and sustainability that define both nations and institutions.
