Thai Language Caravan 2025

Thai Language Caravan 2025

The Department of Thai, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, carries an important mission to preserve and promote knowledge in Thai language skills, literature, and folklore—cultural wisdom that embodies the heritage of the nation. In line with this mission, the department organized the Thai Language Caravan 2025 on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Wat Paknam Phang Rad School, Rayong Province, a small primary school with limited educational resources.

The project featured activities to strengthen Thai language learning for students, integrating cultural and academic service with classroom teaching. It represented the dissemination of linguistic knowledge and innovations to students in Thailand’s Eastern region, ensuring that all learners have access to inclusive and equitable quality education. This initiative aligns with Burapha University’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

The project began with coordination between the organizers, students, and school administrators of Wat Paknam Phang Rad School. Together, they organized creative, hands-on activities in Thai language, literature, and folklore for primary students. These activities encouraged active learning, enhanced language skills, and fostered appreciation of the Thai language’s cultural value.

Additionally, faculty representatives presented Thai language teaching materials and innovative learning resources to the school administrators for ongoing classroom use. After completing the activities, faculty and students returned safely to Burapha University.
