Discover Japan: Language and Culture for 21st-Century Learning

In the era of globalisation and the 21st century, language proficiency and cultural understanding of foreign countries are essential for enhancing learners’ potential and preparing them for future careers. Japan is one of the world’s leading countries in economy and technology, maintaining strong ties with Thailand in trade, education, and tourism. Therefore, promoting Japanese language and cultural learning is highly beneficial for students in preparing for the global community. The Japanese Language Program at Burapha University, as an educational institution committed to producing graduates and providing academic services to the community, recognises the importance of equipping high school students—who are at a crucial stage of deciding on further education or career paths—with Japanese language skills and cultural knowledge, particularly in the field of Japanese studies. This project is designed to build 21st-century skills through interactive and participatory learning activities (Active Learning) in both language and culture. It aims to enable participants to apply their knowledge in real-life situations and inspire them to pursue further studies or careers related to Japan. Moreover, the project provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen partnerships between the Japanese Language Program at Burapha University and local schools to enhance the quality and effectiveness of Japanese language education.
