This initiative directly supports the Faculty of Education’s official “Green Edu Project (FY 2026)” and its “EDU OASIS” tree-planting campaign. By upcycling and repainting existing plant pots with eco-friendly acrylic paint and introducing indoor shade plants, the project actively expands green spaces within the new building complex. This practice effectively maintains and enhances the indoor ecosystem, promotes biodiversity, and cultivates environmental responsibility among staff and students, fully aligning with the university’s Green Office and Green University principles.
The aims
1. To cultivate environmental conservation awareness and green behaviors among Faculty of Education staff.
2. To expand green spaces and enhance campus landscapes in accordance with Green Office and Green University guidelines.
3. To foster staff engagement in environmental stewardship and develop a sustainable learning and working environment.
4. To publicize the “EDU OASIS” tree-planting initiative in English via sustainability.buu.ac.th or sdgs.buu.ac.th.
the Faculty of Education, Burapha University organized the “EDU OASIS” tree-planting initiative under the Fiscal Year 2026 Green Edu Project, aligned with Green University principles. Held at the new building complex, the activity engaged participants in upcycling and repainting weathered plant pots in blue and white using eco-friendly paint, followed by introducing indoor shade plants to expand interior green spaces. The project successfully drew 50 participants. Based on 49 respondents, the satisfaction survey yielded an exceptional score at the highest level (\(\={x}\) = 4.74, S.D. = 0.53).
The impacts:
1. To establish the Faculty of Education as a benchmark for green organizations within Burapha University.
2. To cultivate an eco-friendly campus environment that enhances institutional well-being and quality of life.
3. To foster institutional solidarity and collective environmental stewardship through active staff engagement in campus greening initiatives.
