The Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University, recognises the importance of expanding educational opportunities and reducing economic barriers for students, particularly those facing financial hardship and in need of support to continue their studies. The Interview Project for Financial Aid Scholarships and Student Work-Study Scholarships, Round 2, Academic Year 2025, therefore serves as an important process for selecting scholarship recipients in an appropriate, transparent, and fair manner. It also provides students with opportunities to contribute to the faculty’s work while developing practical workplace skills. This project aligns with SDG 1: No Poverty by helping reduce the impact of financial hardship and enabling students to access educational opportunities more equitably.
Project Coordinator: Dr.Kantima pongnairat, Mr.Puttitorn Swasna
Objectives:
- To select students with financial needs for appropriate and fair educational support.
- To expand educational opportunities, reduce students’ financial burdens, and support the continuity of their studies.
- To provide students with opportunities to participate in the faculty’s work-study program, thereby developing workplace skills, responsibility, and organisational engagement.
Program Activities:
The Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University, conducted student interviews to select recipients of the Financial Aid Scholarships and Student Work-Study Scholarships, Round 2, Academic Year 2025. Applications were opened for two types of scholarships: financial aid and student work-study. A large number of students expressed interest in applying, reflecting both the need for educational support and students’ willingness to contribute to faculty development. The interviews were scheduled for Monday, 9 February 2026, from 9:30 a.m. onward, at Room 703, Building 1. The interview committee reviewed each applicant’s information, financial needs, qualifications, and suitability to ensure that scholarship allocation was transparent, fair, and beneficial to students.
Expected Outcomes (Impacts):
This project generated positive impacts by reducing inequality in educational opportunities and easing students’ economic burdens. Students with financial needs were given access to appropriate support, helping reduce the risk of study interruption and improving their readiness to continue their education. In addition, the work-study scholarships provided students with opportunities to develop workplace skills, responsibility, discipline, and practical experience through work within the faculty. These benefits contribute to students’ long-term capacity development. The project, therefore, aligns with SDG 1: No Poverty by supporting students affected by economic constraints and helping them remain in the education system continuously and successfully.
