The Student Union of the Faculty of Political Science and Law serves as an important mechanism for promoting student participation, leadership development, and student activity management based on good governance, accountability, and transparency. The Handover Ceremony of the Student Union 2026 is therefore significant for transferring responsibilities, information, experiences, and operational guidelines from the outgoing committee to the incoming committee. This ensures continuity, systematic administration, and effective implementation of student activities for the benefit of students and the wider faculty community. The project aligns with SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, particularly by strengthening student institutions that are transparent, accountable, inclusive, and supportive of meaningful student participation in decision-making processes.
The aims:
1.To systematically transfer duties, information, documents, and operational guidelines from the 2025 Student Union Committee to the 2026 Student Union Committee.
2.To promote good governance, accountability, transparency, and continuity in the administration of the student organization.
3.To support leadership development, participation, and the role of students in creatively driving faculty-level activities in alignment with SDG 16.
On 10 April 2026, at 9:30 a.m., at the Chana Prachomsri Meeting Room, Faculty of Political Science and Law Building 1, the Student Affairs Division of the Faculty of Political Science and Law organized the Handover Ceremony of the Student Union of the Faculty of Political Science and Law 2026. The 2025 Student Union Committee officially handed over responsibilities to the President of the 2026 Student Union, with executive committee members from both terms participating in the ceremony. The event was witnessed by the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and members of the Student Affairs Committee, ensuring that the transition of student organization administration was conducted in an orderly, transparent, and continuous manner.
The project contributed to the continuity, systematic management, and clarity of the Student Union’s administrative transition from the outgoing committee to the incoming committee. The 2026 Student Union Committee gained essential information, operational guidelines, and practical experience necessary for managing student activities. At the same time, the project fostered an organisational culture based on responsibility, transparency, accountability, and student participation. These elements are fundamental to strengthening student institutions and promoting good governance. Therefore, the project aligns with SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by supporting a strong, transparent, accountable, and participatory student institution that enables students to take an active role in managing their own activities constructively.
