Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE) serves as a fundamental mechanism in bridging theoretical classroom instruction with practical professional experience. Fourth-year law students have undergone rigorous practical training within various sectors, including government agencies, private enterprises, law firms, and international organizations. This period is instrumental in forging essential professional skills, ethical foundations, and the requisite mindset of a legal practitioner in a real-world context. The “LAW BACK HOME 2026” project is established as a platform for the “Return to Burapha Law,” providing students an opportunity to present their field experiences, reflect on their learning outcomes, and analyze critical lessons to advance their future career trajectories. Furthermore, the project aims to cultivate and strengthen the bonds between alumni and current students through career guidance seminars. These sessions are designed to inspire students and provide a definitive vision of their professional future. In addition, this initiative serves as a strategic reflection of the Faculty’s identity as the “Home of Legal Professionals in Eastern Thailand,” marking the commencement of a new era of collective pride and institutional excellence.
The objectives:
1.To enable fourth-year students to present and reflect upon their learning outcomes derived from the Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE) program.
2.To enhance students’ competencies in professional communication, analytical thinking, and academic presentation.
3.To prepare students for their transition into the legal profession upon graduation.
4.To foster networks and strengthen professional relationships among alumni, current students, and the Faculty.
The morning session features the CWIE (Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education) Performance Presentations by fourth-year students. This session serves as a professional forum where students articulate and analyze the experiences gained from their internships across diverse sectors, including the judiciary, law firms, and various public and private organizations. Through these presentations, students translate their practical encounters into professional insights for faculty members and junior students, providing a comprehensive and realistic portrayal of the legal profession. The afternoon session transitions into a keynote panel discussion titled “From BUU Law to the Bar: Authentic Journeys and Realities of Legal Professionals.” This session features a distinguished group of successful alumni from diverse career backgrounds who serve as guest speakers. They provide in-depth vocational guidance and strategic career mapping to help current students visualize their professional trajectories more clearly upon graduation. Ultimately, this project serves as a cornerstone for integrating theoretical knowledge, practical field experience, and professional networking into a cohesive and impactful educational milestone.
Impacts
1.Students gain a clear and concrete understanding of their future legal career pathways.
2.Students demonstrate enhanced proficiency in Professional Presentation Skills.
3.To cultivate inspiration and a profound sense of belonging to the Faculty as the “Home of Legal Professionals.”
4.To strengthen the Faculty of Law’s institutional image and its commitment to excellence in graduate potential development.
5.The establishment of a sustainable organizational culture of “Alumni Empowerment and Successive Growth for Junior Students.”
