          The “GEMS SQUARE IV Market Fair” project is established under the Burapha University Strategic Plan for Fiscal Year 2026. It aims to enhance the potential of Faculty of Gems students as 21st-century leaders and entrepreneurs, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This initiative focuses on integrating academic knowledge from gem business, design, and technology curricula into practical simulations. By fostering analytical thinking, communication skills, and social responsibility, the project elevates graduate competencies to a competitive international standard.

Objectives:

          This project aims to cultivate 21st-century entrepreneurial skills by providing students with hands-on commercial experience, fostering leadership and a professional mindset. By integrating gem business and design curricula into practical trade, students can generate income and produce tangible professional work. Ultimately, the initiative instils integrity, social responsibility, and critical thinking, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for future careers and global citizenship.

Program Activities:

          The GEMS SQUARE IV project for Fiscal Year 2026 is scheduled to take place on February 20, 2026, from 17:00 to 21:00 at the GEMS Square, Faculty of Gems, Burapha University, Chanthaburi Campus. This initiative integrates academic knowledge from the gem business, design, and technology curricula into a practical trade simulation. The operational process begins with venue preparation, followed by the core activity of product sales, which develops entrepreneurial, problem-solving, and communication skills. The event concludes with venue clearing after the activities end. The project aims to enable students to generate income and produce tangible work while fostering professional ethics and 21st-century skills to prepare them for future leadership.

Expected Outcomes (Impacts):

This project generates a tangible positive impact aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Integrating theory into practice enhances educational quality (SDG 4) and develops essential 21st-century skills. Furthermore, it strengthens entrepreneurial potential and leadership (SDG 8), providing students with income opportunities and the competitive edge necessary for sustainable economic growth. Ultimately, the program instils professional ethics and social responsibility (SDG 12), thereby cultivating a foundation for responsible production and consumption within the global jewellery industry.
