Gems & Jewelry English Work 2026

Gems & Jewelry English Work 2026

In the 21st century, English proficiency is no longer just a basic communication tool but a vital gateway to global educational and professional opportunities, particularly within the highly dynamic gem and jewelry industry. Recognizing this, the Gems and Jewelry Business Program at Burapha University, Chanthaburi Campus, has launched the “Gems & Jewelry English Work” project. This initiative integrates core knowledge from the Consumer Behavior in the Digital Era course with practical English training, enabling students to analyze market trends and communicate effectively with international partners. This approach ensures that graduates are not only technically proficient but also linguistically equipped to meet the demands of the global marketplace. Furthermore, this project aligns with Burapha University’s strategic goals for sustainable social development and international branding (BUU Branding). By focusing on SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), the program showcases student achievements on international platforms to highlight the faculty’s high academic standards. Beyond technical expertise, the project fosters essential soft skills—such as systematic thinking, interpersonal responsibility, and professional ethics. Ultimately, it prepares students to enter the workforce as well-rounded global citizens who possess both specialized gemological knowledge and the sophisticated communication skills necessary for long-term career success.

This initiative aims to integrate business English communication skills within the gems and jewelry industry by applying insights from digital-age consumer behavior to ensure effective product presentations in the global market. By organizing co-curricular activities that align with 21st-century learning skills and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), the project enhances linguistic proficiency while supporting educational quality assurance and preparing students for professional entry into the industry. In addition, the program is designed to strengthen student potential in accordance with desired graduate characteristics and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 and 8). By fostering core knowledge, analytical thinking, and professional responsibility, the initiative ensures that students are well-equipped with the necessary competencies to compete and succeed in the international labor market.

The Gems & Jewelry English Work project, led by Assistant Professor Sayomphoo Hanpakdeesakul as the primary speaker, is scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, at Room L-206B, Burapha University, Chanthaburi Campus. The program commences with registration and a pre-test to evaluate the students’ baseline knowledge. The core training is structured into four specialized segments: Understanding Modern Jewelry Consumer Personas, Strategic Storytelling & Product Presentation, Digital Interaction & Crisis Management, and a final session dedicated to drafting Resumes and Curriculum Vitae.

This project bridges the gap between academic theory and global professional practice. Students gain specialized English proficiency and strategic storytelling skills, directly boosting their employability and competitiveness in the international market. By aligning with SDGs 4 and 8, the project also elevates Burapha University’s reputation for producing high-quality, ethically responsible graduates. Ultimately, it equips a new generation of gemological experts with the sophisticated communication skills necessary for long-term career success in the digital era.
