18th International Conference on Knowledge and Smart Technology 2026

18th International Conference on Knowledge and Smart Technology 2026

The International Conference on Knowledge and Smart Technology (KST) was established with the core mission of fostering a sustainable academic community through continuous education and resource sharing. It serves as a premier platform for experts and developers to promote, share, and discuss cutting-edge advancements in Computational Intelligence, Intelligent Computer Networks and Systems, and Emerging Intelligent Technologies. This initiative is driven by a robust collaborative network of 10 partner institutions across academia and industry, both locally and internationally. Marking its 18th anniversary, KST-2026 is organized by the IEEE Thailand Section (Computer Chapter) and the Knowledge and Smart Technology (KST) Research Laboratory, Faculty of Informatics, Burapha University. Co-hosted by these two esteemed organizations, the conference provides a vital stage for young researchers to showcase their potential and present innovative research concepts. KST-2026 is poised to deliver significant benefits to the computational intelligence community and its applications in Thailand.

The primary objectives of this project are centered on network building and the advancement of knowledge, as follows:

– To foster academic collaboration in the specialized fields of Computational Intelligence, Intelligent Applications, Intelligent Computer Networks and Systems, and Emerging Intelligent Technologies.

– To serve as a central hub for showcasing research in these domains, facilitating seamless technology transfer between academic institutions, as well as between academia and the industrial sector.

– To promote sustainable synergy between higher education institutions and the digital industry, ensuring long-term cooperation and innovation.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process by a committee of distinguished national and international experts, strictly adhering to IEEE standards.

Conference Highlights: • Keynote & Invited Speeches:

1) Professor Dr.Takafumi Nakanishi, Tokyo University of Tokyo, Japan

2) Professor Dr.Fang Shang, The University of Electro-Communications, Japan

3) Dr.Lee Man Hee, Republic of Korea

4) Dr.Oh Son Moon, Republic of Korea

5) Professor Dr. Shinichi Yamagiwa, University of Tsukuba, Japan

6) Dr.Chalitda Mathayomborush, Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), Thailand • Technical Presentation Sessions • International Consortium in Informatics Meeting: A high-level forum for strategic academic and research collaboration.

In 2026, the conference has garnered exceptional interest from the global research community. We received a total of 213 research papers from authors across Thailand and around the world. Following a stringent review process by our international technical committee, 108 high-quality papers have been selected for presentation and publication.

KST-2026 successfully equipped participants with advanced insights into Intelligent Technologies, establishing a vital foundation for career and academic growth. By bridging the gap between public and private sector experts, the conference helped set new benchmarks for future AI research.

A key achievement was the creation of a robust collaborative network among academics, researchers, and industry leaders. Notable international partnerships, such as with NAIST, Japan, have significantly elevated the global standing of Thai research.

Ultimately, this project serves as a sustainable mechanism for resource sharing (knowledge and expertise) between academia and industry. Aligned with UN SDG 17, it promotes multi-stakeholder partnerships to mobilize technology. To ensure lasting impact, all presented papers will be indexed in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library.
