Workshop on Driving the Operations of the Chonburi Provincial Justice Administration Development Committee

          Promoting a fair, transparent, and accessible justice system is a fundamental pillar of sustainable development and democratic governance. This aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16: “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” and Goal 17: “Partnerships for the Goals,” both of which emphasize strengthening collaboration among sectors to improve justice administration at the local level. In line with this vision, the Provincial Justice Administration Development Committee of Chonburi, in collaboration with the Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University, organized a strategic workshop to enhance the implementation and efficiency of justice administration at the provincial level. The workshop aimed to foster integration of information, identify key issues, and develop operational approaches through inclusive dialogue among government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society.

          This workshop is part of a broader, continuous effort to drive forward the implementation of the National Justice Administration Master Plan, Phase IV (2023–2026), by connecting national policies with localized practices tailored to the unique contexts of each province. Representatives from the provinces of Chonburi, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Samut Sakhon participated in this initiative, contributing diverse perspectives and local insights.

          The project serves to strengthen institutional cooperation, create space for multi-stakeholder engagement, and support evidence-based policy development. Ultimately, the outcomes of this collaborative effort will contribute to the creation of a more resilient, participatory, and citizen-centered justice system, fostering long-term institutional trust and sustainable governance.

        The aims of Project                                                                                                                                                                                                        To provide a platform for dialogue and exchange of information among government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society in identifying key challenges in the provincial justice system, and to collaboratively develop strategic approaches aligned with the National Justice Administration Master Plan Phase IV (2023–2026), with the aim of establishing an effective, fair, and accessible justice system at the local level.

          The activity was held on  May 30, 2025, Led by Assoc.Prof.Ekkawit Maneethorn, Ph.D.. and It was carried out through in-depth interviews with representatives from government agencies and academic institutions to gather policy perspectives, and a participatory workshop where justice sector stakeholders and civil society exchanged information, identified challenges, and proposed strategies for enhancing the provincial justice system.

         This project led to integrated collaboration among government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society, resulting in practical strategies and policy recommendations tailored to local justice challenges. The outcomes will support planning and operations of provincial justice committees, contributing to the development of a more effective, transparent, and responsive justice system that aligns with the needs of the people and promotes long-term sustainability.
