The 21st century has brought about rapid and unpredictable changes. We live in a BANI world—Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, and Incomprehensible—where societies face disruptions from technology, new economic models, and shifting global expectations. Amidst such uncertainties, education remains the most powerful tool for creating equal opportunities, reducing poverty, and paving the way toward sustainable development. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), the Faculty of Education, Burapha University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing, launched the project “Next Paradigm Education & Youth for Ending Poverty” from 9–12 July 2025 in Champasak Province, Lao PDR. The project introduced the Next Paradigm in Education concept, which emphasises lifelong learning, innovation, cross-disciplinary integration, and empowering youth as global citizens. Through workshops, discussions, and community engagement, participants were encouraged to co-design innovative solutions to reduce poverty while strengthening sustainable education systems.
