AI for Manufacturing in Industry 4.0 Workshop 2025

AI for Manufacturing in Industry 4.0 Workshop 2025

Technology plays a crucial role across all sectors, particularly in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), which has been designated as a strategic zone for advancing Thailand’s economy. Priority industries such as next-generation automotive, innovative electronics, and robotics require the integration of advanced digital technologies. To enhance competitiveness, it is imperative to upskill human resources with expertise in digital innovation, particularly in applying Automation 4.0 within manufacturing processes and product design. Strengthening these competencies not only supports industrial competitiveness in the region but also fosters collaboration between academia and industry, improves quality of life through technology adoption, and contributes to the growth of the national digital economy. In response, the Eastern Software Park, Burapha University, in collaboration with the Digital Media and Interaction Laboratory (DMI), organised the AI for Manufacturing in Industry 4.0 Workshop 2025 to advance knowledge and practice in artificial intelligence for manufacturing.

Project Coordinator:

  1. Kanuengnij Kubola
  2. Nilrat Kanyunthong
  3. Prof. Dr. Prajaks Jitngernmadan
  4. Sirapat Tansavetwong
  5. Ms Nittaya Tiraphongphat

Objectives:

  1. To enhance knowledge and practical skills in artificial intelligence tools for personnel in both industry and academia.
  2. To promote the application of AI in addressing industrial challenges, advancing businesses, and improving services.
  3. To establish collaborative networks between academia and industry in AI and related technological fields.

Program Activities:

On August 28, 2025, the Eastern Software Park, Burapha University, together with the Digital Media and Interaction Laboratory (DMI), conducted the AI for Manufacturing in Industry 4.0 Workshop 2025 at Room 404, Faculty of Informatics, Burapha University, Chonburi. The program disseminated AI knowledge and applications for Industry 4.0 automation, allowing participants to discuss challenges and exchange practical insights from real-world industries. The workshop featured expert speakers—Asst. Prof. Dr Prajaks Jitngernmadan, Mr Phusana Kong-on, and Mr Thanat Khanangnanan engaged 23 participants from both public and private sectors. Training topics included:
