Sharing Book: Spreading Happiness through Books Project

          Reading is an important activity for people of all ages, enabling them to stay informed and keep abreast of technological advancements. This is crucial in today’s era. Agencies that play a key role in promoting and supporting reading should collaborate in creating incentives to encourage reading and learning, enhancing quality of life in areas such as education, careers, further education, and recreation. 

           Burapha University Library recognizes the importance of promoting lifelong learning among communities and various organizations in Chonburi Province. Therefore, the “Sharing Book, Sharing Happiness with Books” project aims to promote lifelong learning and contribute to the sharing of donated books and free information resources donated by individuals and other organizations. These books, which contain a wide variety of content, including academic and general books, are valuable and valuable resources for promoting reading and lifelong learning. Furthermore, they create value for donated books and free information resources.

Objectives:

1. To promote reading and lifelong learning for the general public.

2. To provide communities and various agencies in the province with lifelong learning resources through appropriate and diverse information resources.

3. To share and add value to unused donated books by handing them over to other agencies for further use.

Implementation

1. Coordinate with the project implementation agencies to survey the area and inform them of the project’s progress.

2. Establish project implementation procedures and appoint a committee to implement the project.

3. Select donated books that meet the needs and interests of communities and various agencies in Chonburi Province for use in library corners to promote reading and learning.

4. Schedule two project sessions: the first session at Mueang Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital and Samet Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital, and the second session at Na Municipality and Mani Kaew Communities.

Impacts

1. This project aims to build a collaborative network with communities and various agencies in Chonburi Province.

2. This project is an academic service to society and the community that promotes lifelong learning and is part of the sharing of donated books or free information resources.

3. The project aims to use donated books to create book corners to promote reading and lifelong learning. A total of 681 books, 4 e-books, and 8-shelf bookshelves were selected to meet community needs.

The following locations were selected: 1st session: Friday, June 27, 2025, at Mueang Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital and Samet Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital; 2nd session: Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Na Municipality and Manikaew Communities
