Information and communication technology (ICT) has played a crucial role in driving the digital economy and society, resulting in a shift towards online transactions and operations. Digital identity verification and authentication have therefore become essential infrastructure and key to building trust, security, accuracy, and efficiency in electronic transactions at both the individual and organisational levels. To ensure that personnel have a correct understanding of the mechanisms of Digital ID and are aware of the importance of security standards and the selection of appropriate technologies and tools to support their work, a training program on “Digital Identity (Digital ID)” is required. This project aims to enhance understanding of legal issues and relevant standards, and to develop skills in using modern identity verification technologies, thereby ensuring a secure, efficient, and effective transition to a digital organisation.

Objectives:
- To provide participants with knowledge and understanding of the concept, importance, and necessity of using Digital ID technology for digital identity verification and authentication.
- To provide participants with an understanding of legal issues and recommended standards related to online transactions for correct and secure work practices.
- To introduce technologies and tools that support Digital ID work and enhance skills in applying them to improve efficiency in work processes.
Program Activities:
- Coordinate with the Electronic Transactions Development Agency to determine the topics and dates for the training.
- Prepare a project proposal and submit it for approval. The target groups include lecturers, staff, and students of Burapha University, the general public, and entrepreneurs in the community.
- Conduct the training through lectures and demonstrations, and administer pre-test and post-test after training.
Expected Outcomes (Impacts):
Participants will be able to apply their knowledge and understanding of digital identity (Digital ID) technology to online transactions and work operations correctly and securely, in accordance with legal standards and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). This helps build trust in electronic transactions at the personal level. Furthermore, it drives the organisation towards digital transformation in a tangible way by promoting highly reliable identity verification processes rather than traditional paper-based methods. This results in fewer redundant steps, reduced paper consumption, and increased efficiency and speed in coordination and service delivery within a secure cybersecurity learning ecosystem, aligning with the university’s strategy.
