Co-hosting the ECTI-CON 2026 international conference stems from a strategic vision to provide a premier international academic platform for presenting cutting-edge research and innovative concepts in modern engineering and technology.
The project’s significance lies in establishing robust global academic networks, elevating the quality of Thai research to world-class standards (through IEEE Xplore indexing), and showcasing Thailand’s readiness to serve as a regional hub for research and innovation. The conference encompasses transformative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G/6G, Cybersecurity, Clean Energy, and Electric Vehicles (EVs)—all of which are essential drivers for future socio-economic development and global sustainability.

Objectives:
- To serve as a premier international platform for presenting research, innovative concepts, and technological advancements in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.
- To establish and expand impactful international academic and research collaboration networks.
- To showcase Thailand’s potential and readiness to act as a global hub for research and innovation partnerships.
Program Activities:
The Faculty of Engineering at Burapha University proudly co-hosted the 23rd International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications, and Information Technology (ECTI-CON 2026) from May 27–30, 2026, at the Amari Bangsaen Hotel in Chonburi. The event drew a large gathering of researchers, faculty members, students, and subject-matter experts from across the globe to exchange knowledge and present breakthroughs in modern engineering.
The organising committee was expertly led by Dr Phanuwat Dan Klang (General Chair) and Assoc. Prof. Dr Anan Phonphoem (General Co-Chair). Over the 4-day conference, the comprehensive itinerary included:
- Parallel Sessions: In-depth research presentations covering vital fields such as AI, Biomedical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Next-Generation Communication Technologies, Sustainable Technologies, and Electric Vehicles.
- Special Keynote Lectures: Featuring insights from three globally recognised experts:
- Dr. Yuji Yasui from Honda R&D Co., Ltd., Japan
- Prof. Nguyen Linh Trung from Vietnam National University, Vietnam
- Assoc. Prof. Dr Supavadee Aramvith from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand
- Networking & Recognition: Activities included academic networking sessions, a welcome banquet, and a concluding summary meeting held at Burapha University’s Faculty of Engineering. A major highlight was the presentation of the 12 Best Paper Awards and Special Awards, recognising outstanding, high-impact research.
Expected Outcomes (Impacts):
- Global Research Visibility: Presented research papers were published in the conference proceedings and are in the process of being indexed in IEEE Xplore, a globally recognised academic database, thereby elevating the international standing of Thai researchers.
- Robust International Networks: Successfully fostered strategic academic collaborations among global researchers, faculty, and leading institutions, driving the exchange of cutting-edge ideas in future-critical fields (AI, 5G/6G, Cybersecurity, Clean Energy, and EVs).
- Regional Hub Recognition: Reaffirmed Thailand’s potential as an international hub for research and innovation, promoting the development of high-quality human capital capable of meeting the future demands of national and global industries.
- Institutional Prestige: Enhanced the reputation of Burapha University’s Faculty of Engineering as a vital co-organiser of major, high-impact regional academic conferences on the world stage.
