According to the emphasis on advancing gender equality (SDG5) through policies that respect diversity and uphold human dignity of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Burapha University. To promote the rights of staff and students to express their gender identity appropriately, inclusive use of shared spaces and activities, and fair and merit-based personnel selection, the Psychology and Gender Equality project was held by the Department of Psychology to raise awareness of rights and equality, while encouraging students to engage in dialogue and contribute ideas on gender-related issues. The initiative supports the development of an inclusive learning environment that enables individuals to reach their full potential sustainably. This activity aligns with SDG5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Objectives:
– To introduce students to the principles of SDG 5: Gender Equality, including key concepts related to rights, equity, and inclusion in diverse social contexts.
– To strengthen awareness of rights, fairness, and gender equality among students.
Program Activities:
The activity was delivered through interactive sessions, including a lecture followed by an open discussion. Students participated in group exercises to reflect on and present their identities in the context of gender equality. The sessions also encouraged equal participation, allowing students to express their views while reinforcing respect for others’ rights and dignity.
Expected Outcomes (Impacts):
– Students gained a more comprehensive understanding of SDG 5 and its relevance to real-life social contexts, particularly in relation to gender equality and inclusion.
– Awareness of rights, fairness, and gender equality was strengthened among participants.
– Students showed greater confidence in sharing and discussing perspectives on gender-related topics.
