Objectives:
This activity is organised to provide knowledge and exchange experiences in psychological research with faculty members, staff, students, and interested persons. It also creates academic cooperation between the Department of Psychology and the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), which is ranked 67th in the world according to University Ranking 2025.
The Department of Psychology organized a special lecture titled “Psychology and the Brain: Studying Compulsive Media Use – A Media Neuroscience Perspective”, delivered by Professor Dr. Rene Weber, M.D., from the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences, University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), USA—a university ranked 67th in the world according to the World University Rankings 2025. This event aimed to provide knowledge and facilitate the exchange of research experiences in psychology among faculty members, staff, students, and other interested participants. It also strengthened academic collaboration between the Department of Psychology and the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Moreover, the event aligns with SDG Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
