The Division of Human Resources Management and Development has implemented the project “3T (Teach/Train/Treat) Program for Preventing Office Syndrome” to enhance staff well-being and prevent health problems related to repetitive tasks and prolonged working postures. Such conditions often cause musculoskeletal disorders, particularly office syndrome, which negatively affects physical health, work efficiency, and long-term quality of life.
The project is designed with three integrated components:
Teach – providing knowledge and understanding of office syndrome and related musculoskeletal disorders.
Train – delivering practical training on appropriate exercises and stretching techniques for prevention and symptom reduction.
Treat – offering health care and treatment sessions by experts from relevant fields.
The project objectives include:
Raising awareness and understanding of office syndrome and musculoskeletal disorders caused by work.
Providing exercise and stretching practices suitable for prevention and symptom relief.
Encouraging staff to recognize the importance of health care in their daily routines.
Building networks for knowledge sharing and collaboration among personnel.
This initiative strongly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being – by promoting preventive health care, reducing risks of work-related diseases, and fostering physical and mental well-being.
SDG 4: Quality Education – through continuous learning opportunities that equip staff with practical health knowledge and self-care skills.
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – by improving workplace conditions, enhancing productivity, and supporting sustainable employment.
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – by encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange between experts and staff across departments.
Through this comprehensive approach, the “3T (Teach/Train/Treat) Escaping Office Syndrome” project not only addresses the immediate health challenges of office workers but also contributes to building a healthier, more sustainable, and resilient workforce in alignment with global sustainable development efforts.
