Training Workshop: Sports Massage Practitioner Course

          The Sports Enterprise Center at the Faculty of Sports Science, Burapha University, envisions itself as “a leader in providing academic services in exercise and sports, responding to sustainable development in the Eastern region under systematic and highly efficient management.” To promote and support academic services in exercise and sports to enhance athletes’ performance and improve the quality of life for people of all ages, the center coordinates with the government and private sectors to provide academic services for athlete development toward excellence. It promotes healthy exercise practices that meet the needs of service recipients in the Eastern region while supporting the preservation of Thai traditional and folk sports and developing the Eastern region in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

          The center is committed to fostering professional personnel with knowledge and skills that match the demands of the Eastern region’s production and service sectors, society, and communities. Creating professional personnel equipped with relevant knowledge and skills to meet the needs of production and service industries, society, and communities in the Eastern region is paramount. Given this significance, the Sports Enterprise Center at the Faculty of Sports Science, Burapha University, has established a practical training workshop project to develop Sports Enterprise Center personnel for the fiscal year 2025. The program includes two courses: “Sports Massage Practitioner” to prepare Sports Enterprise Center practitioners to work efficiently and professionally, and provide quality services.

          This initiative reflects the center’s commitment to excellence in sports education and service delivery, ensuring that personnel are well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of the Eastern region’s sports and wellness community while contributing to sustainable regional development.

Objectives:

1.To enhance the knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary for the management of the sports enterprise, in alignment with the mission and goals of the Center.

2. To strengthen personnel competency in academic and practical aspects through hands-on training and exchanging experiences.

3. To develop teamwork, communication, and practical problem-solving skills.

4. To prepare personnel to adapt and apply knowledge for the sustainable provision of academic services under the Sports Enterprise Center.

5. To support achieving the strategic plan for the Sports Enterprise Center personnel development.

Program Activities:

          Course: “Sports Massage Practitioner” Date: August 23 – 24, 2025 Instructor: Mr. Thanat Tikpanyawut Position: Senior Physical Therapist, Laem Chabang Hospital. There were 55 participants. The course includes a lecture on muscle anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques. The personnel must adapt and apply knowledge to sustain academic services under the Sports Enterprise Center.

Expected Outcomes (Impacts):

1.Personnel have enhanced knowledge, understanding, and skills, enabling them to support the services of the Sports Enterprise Center effectively.

2. To increase the service-providing capacity of the Sports Enterprise Center to achieve higher standards and quality.

3. To increase the number of personnel providing academic services in various areas of the Sports Enterprise Center.
