Participation in the F.T.I. Robot Championship of Thailand 2025 for the Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn

Project Background and Significance

          The Association for the Promotion of Technology (Thailand-Japan) (F.T.I.) has organized the F.T.I. Robot Championship of Thailand 2025, under the theme “TPA Super Dunk – Robot Basketball”, to compete for the Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The competition aims to enhance youth development in science, technology, engineering, robotics, and automation at the higher education level.

          The Burapha Robotics Society (BRS), Faculty of Engineering, Burapha University, is participating in this competition to showcase students’ skills and knowledge in science, engineering, and technology while bringing recognition to the Faculty of Engineering and Burapha University. This project also aligns with the university’s commitment to fostering practical learning experiences and responding to industry demands for robotics professionals.

Project Objectives

  1. To promote student participation in robotics competitions at the higher education level.
  2. To enhance students’ practical skills, knowledge, and real-world experience beyond classroom learning.
  3. To encourage innovation and adapt engineering education to meet the demands of modern technology.
  4. To inspire students to pursue careers in engineering and robotics.
  5. To accelerate the development of skilled robotics professionals to meet the needs of domestic and international industries.

Project Activities

  1. Robot Design, Development, and Testing – Students will collaboratively design, build, and refine their robot for competition.
  2. Competition Participation –
  • April 26-27, 2025: Preliminary Round at Zeer Rangsit Shopping Center, Pathum Thani – Team B1-U2qualified among the Top 12 Finalists.
  • May 30-31 – June 1, 2025: Final Round at Diamond Hall, Zeer Rangsit – Team B1-U2won the Championship in the TPA Super Dunk category.
  1. Post-Competition Review and Development – Lessons learned from the competition will be analyzed for further development and application in future projects.
  2. Next Goal – June 21-22, 2025: Participation in the TV 5 ABU Robocon Thailand Championship 2025, to compete for the opportunity to represent Thailand at the international competition in Mongolia.

The project is supported by Burapha Robotics Society (BRS) and over 12 private sector partners, who contribute financial support and resources for robot development.
