The Anatomical Pathology Program, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Burapha University, organized this project in collaboration with the Student Affairs Division and the Regional Medical Sciences Center 6, Chonburi. The project aimed to provide accessible, convenient, safe, and timely cervical cancer screening services for students and the general public. Cervical cancer prevention is important because early screening can help detect HPV infection and reduce the long-term risk of disease. The activity also promoted health awareness and preventive healthcare in the university and community.
The objectives of the project were to provide cervical cancer screening services to students and the public, promote access to reproductive health services, reduce long-term disease risk, provide health advice from experts, and educate participants about cervical cancer, HPV infection, screening methods, and preventive healthcare.
The project provided cervical cancer screening services using the HPV DNA Test, which can detect several strains of HPV. Health professionals gave advice on disease prevention and healthcare practices. Third-year Anatomical Pathology students also participated by educating service users about cervical cancer, screening methods, and health care guidelines. The activity combined health service delivery with practical learning and social engagement.
The project helped students and the public access cervical cancer screening more easily, quickly, and safely. It increased awareness of HPV infection, cervical cancer prevention, and reproductive health care. The activity also reduced potential long-term health risks through early screening. In addition, it provided Anatomical Pathology students with real-world learning experience while encouraging them to serve society through health education and community-based healthcare support.
