The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences participated in BUU RISE 2026 under the theme “Innovating the Future: Research with Impact.” The event aimed to promote research and innovation that can create sustainable social and commercial impact. The Faculty presented five research works with potential for further commercial development. These works included health screening devices, medical assessment tools, and diagnostic test kits, demonstrating the Faculty’s strength in health innovation and applied research.
The objectives of the activity were to present health-related research and innovation, promote intellectual property development, support the commercialization of research outputs, encourage researchers to create practical innovations, and demonstrate how academic research can generate sustainable value for society and the health sector.
The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences joined BUU RISE 2026 and presented five research works in the IP Pitching competition. Three projects received awards: a foot sensation screening device for diabetic patients, a muscle mass measurement chair, and a diagnostic test kit for Fasciolopsiasis using recombinant antibodies. The Faculty also received a Best Poster Award from the work of Dr. Yothin Teethaisong.
The project highlighted the Faculty’s capacity in health research and innovation. The awarded works have potential to improve disease screening, health assessment, and diagnostic services. The success also promotes the development of intellectual property, supports future commercialization, and inspires young researchers to create research that benefits society in a sustainable way.
