Faculty of Engineering Job Fair 2025: Bridging Students to the World of Work

The Faculty of Engineering, Burapha University, recognizes the importance of preparing students to respond effectively to the rapidly changing labor market and the evolving needs of industry. In this regard, the Faculty organized the Faculty of Engineering Job Fair 2025: Bridging Students to the World of Work, held on 18 December 2025, as a key mechanism to bridge academic learning with real-world professional practice. The event aimed to provide students with direct opportunities to engage with employers, gain insights into job characteristics, required skills, and current employment trends across various engineering fields, thereby enhancing their career readiness prior to graduation.

The objectives of the Job Fair were to provide students with opportunities to meet and apply for employment, internships, or cooperative education positions directly with participating companies, to enhance career preparedness and essential employability skills, to strengthen collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering and industry partners, and to promote experiential learning and professional networking while students are still pursuing their studies. These objectives reflect the Faculty’s commitment to developing engineering graduates whose competencies align with current industry demands.

To support these goals, the Faculty of Engineering hosted the event within its premises, providing space for exhibition booths from companies and organizations representing a wide range of industries, including automotive, electronics, energy, logistics, digital technology, and advanced manufacturing. Activities within the Job Fair included company presentations, on-site recruitment for employment, internships, and cooperative education programs, as well as career guidance and consultation sessions. Students were given valuable opportunities to interact directly with industry representatives, exchange information, and gain first-hand understanding of professional expectations.

The Faculty of Engineering Job Fair 2025 contributed concretely to increasing students’ employment and professional experience opportunities. Students gained a clearer understanding of labor market requirements, essential skills, and current industry trends, while also building professional networks with faculty members and industry partners. These networks are expected to lead to future collaboration in internships, cooperative education, and graduate employment. Moreover, the initiative enhanced the Faculty of Engineering’s image as a source of high-quality, work-ready graduates and reaffirmed its role in supporting sustainable workforce development to drive national economic and industrial growth. Overall, the project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
