Burapha University has received the World University Ranking for Innovation (WURI), ranking No. 1 globally in Crisis Management for three consecutive years. In alignment with the country’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts, Burapha University recognises the importance of addressing this issue. The university houses key faculties in Engineering, Science, Technology, and Environmental Health, serving as knowledge hubs for research, innovation, and models for sustainable environmental management. Nevertheless, awareness and understanding of climate change (Global Warming & Climate Action) still need to be strengthened and continuously disseminated to various sectors, especially among university personnel. Therefore, to enhance knowledge and shared understanding regarding climate change and the role of faculty members in integrating such knowledge into related research—while aligning with Burapha University’s strategies and goals—the Faculty of Engineering has organised this workshop on “The Role of Burapha University Faculty Members in Climate Change and Related Research Approaches.”
