“The 5S Activity Project to Promote Green Office Practices Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University”

The Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University, places great importance on strengthening internal management efficiency while maintaining a clean, well-organised, safe, and supportive working environment for lecturers, staff, students, and visitors. A well-managed workplace not only reflects the faculty’s professional image but also helps reduce risks of accidents, improve service quality, and enhance overall operational effectiveness. The implementation of the 5S concept, namely Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, and Sustain, serves as a practical approach to improving workplace organisation and productivity. Through 5S activities, unnecessary items are removed, essential materials are arranged systematically for convenient access, and cleanliness is maintained continuously.

This process helps minimise time loss, reduce workplace clutter, promote safety, and strengthen teamwork and discipline within the organisation. In addition, the Faculty is committed to promoting Green Office practices to encourage responsible resource use and environmentally friendly workplace behaviour. This includes reducing waste, improving waste segregation, using energy efficiently, and fostering sustainable habits in daily operations. Therefore, the 5S activity is a key mechanism that supports Green Office implementation in a practical, measurable way, contributing to a more sustainable organisational culture. For these reasons, the Faculty has initiated the “5S Activity Project to Promote Green Office Practices” to enhance workplace organisation, cleanliness, and safety, while reinforcing a long-term culture of continuous improvement and sustainability within the Faculty.
