Burapha University, through the Division of Student Affairs, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Central Si Racha on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Central Si Racha, Chonburi Province. The collaboration, led by Asst. Prof. Parinya Nakpathom, Ph.D., Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, and Mr. Pongsathon Kaewmanee, Assistant President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, aims to provide students with a platform to gain hands-on entrepreneurial experience by operating booths for product sales, conducting promotional activities, and showcasing their talents — all free of charge.
The event featured exhibitions and product sales from student-led shops and various university faculties, such as the Faculty of Gemology, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Institute of Marine Science, along with the Burapha University Cooperative Shop and start-ups nurtured by the Eastern Science and Technology Park (EAST Park). In addition, the event was enriched by a performance from the MUPA Choir of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, adding vibrancy and a lively atmosphere.
This initiative not only provides students with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills and gain practical experience through a Learning by Doing approach but also plays a vital role in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Burapha University supports students in acquiring real-world business experience while enhancing their career development and entrepreneurial competencies, thereby laying the foundation for sustainable economic growth and decent work (SDG 8). Furthermore, the collaboration offers space for testing innovative business models and start-up concepts developed under EAST Park, fostering innovation and industry growth (SDG 9).
The partnership between Burapha University and Central Si Racha also stands as a clear example of effective collaboration between academia and the private sector (SDG 17), facilitating the exchange of knowledge, resources, and learning opportunities. At the same time, hosting the event in a public venue reflects the university’s commitment to promoting community engagement and contributing to sustainable urban development (SDG 11).
Burapha University remains committed to supporting students in developing comprehensive skills — academically, professionally, and entrepreneurially — in line with its vision of contributing to society and the economy while driving sustainable development in a meaningful way.
