Through initiatives such as AUN-BUU Summer Camp 2026, the University supports student mobility, enhances international learning opportunities, and contributes to the development of future-ready competencies through experiential learning and micro-credential opportunities. The program also strengthens Burapha University\u2019s international profile while promoting meaningful partnerships among higher education institutions across the region.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Designed to celebrate Thailand\u2019s culinary heritage while encouraging sustainable food awareness, the program introduced participants to the cultural significance, nutritional value, and sustainability dimensions of Thai cuisine. Through the activity <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\" data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1728\">\u201cDiscover the Flavors of Thailand,\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\"> students explored the unique characteristics of Thai food, local ingredients, traditional herbs, and the cultural influences that have shaped Thailand\u2019s globally recognized culinary identity. Students learned to cook <strong data-start=\"2238\" data-end=\"2250\">Pad Thai<\/strong>, a world-renowned noodle dish that reflects the balance of flavors and efficient use of local ingredients; <strong data-start=\"2358\" data-end=\"2375\">Tom Yum Goong<\/strong>, a famous spicy shrimp soup showcasing the health benefits and aromatic qualities of Thai herbs; and <strong data-start=\"2477\" data-end=\"2491\">Chor Muang<\/strong>, an elegant traditional Thai appetizer that demonstrates the artistry and craftsmanship embedded in Thai culinary traditions. Through these activities, participants gained practical cooking skills while deepening their appreciation of Thailand\u2019s food culture and culinary wisdom.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The program also featured <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\" data-start=\"2799\" data-end=\"2826\">\u201cSweet Thai Creations,\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\"> a workshop dedicated to traditional Thai desserts. Participants learned how to prepare <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\" data-start=\"2914\" data-end=\"2925\">Bua Loy<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\">, a beloved Thai sweet delicacy made from colorful rice flour dumplings served in coconut milk. The activity provided insights into the role of desserts in Thai culture, celebrations, and family traditions while emphasizing the use of locally sourced ingredients and traditional preparation techniques.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ef4adcb e-flex e-con-boxed wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"ef4adcb\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-core-v316-plus=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-98b7462 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"98b7462\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Another highlight was <strong data-start=\"3251\" data-end=\"3280\">\u201cRefreshing Thai Drinks,\u201d<\/strong> which introduced participants to the nutritional and medicinal benefits of traditional Thai herbal beverages. Students learned about the preparation methods, cultural significance, and health-promoting properties of popular herbal drinks, including <strong data-start=\"3530\" data-end=\"3563\">Bael Fruit Juice (Nam Matoom)<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3565\" data-end=\"3596\">Roselle Juice (Nam Krajeab)<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"3602\" data-end=\"3645\">Butterfly Pea Flower Drink (Nam Anchan)<\/strong>. These sessions demonstrated how Thai communities have long utilized natural resources and indigenous knowledge to support wellness, healthy living, and sustainable consumption practices.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0To encourage creativity, teamwork, and intercultural exchange, participants also took part in the <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\" data-start=\"3933\" data-end=\"3962\">\u201cThai Culinary Challenge\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\"> and <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\" data-start=\"3967\" data-end=\"3985\">\u201cTaste &amp; Tell\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\"> activities. Working collaboratively, students explored different flavors, shared cultural perspectives on food, and discussed the role of cuisine in society and sustainable development. These activities strengthened communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while fostering mutual respect and appreciation for cultural diversity.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Throughout the program, participants discovered that food is far more than a basic necessity\u2014it is a powerful medium for connecting people, preserving cultural heritage, supporting local communities, and promoting sustainable lifestyles. The program supports <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\" data-start=\"5465\" data-end=\"5487\">SDG 2: Zero Hunger<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\"> by promoting awareness of sustainable food systems, nutrition, and local food resources. It advances <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\" data-start=\"5589\" data-end=\"5617\">SDG 4: Quality Education<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;\"> through experiential and intercultural learning opportunities that enhance both practical and cultural competencies.
