This initiative was led under the strategic direction of the Faculty&#8217;s research and development unit, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanyapat Muangpan, Deputy Dean for Research and Development, serving as the principal speaker alongside her team. The objective of the workshop was to build academic capacity among faculty members and support personnel in aligning their research with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly within the domain of sustainable logistics and supply chain management.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7e70308 e-flex e-con-boxed wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"7e70308\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-core-v316-plus=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-986d4c2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"986d4c2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The workshop was conducted at the Faculty of Logistics and targeted both academic staff and support personnel who demonstrated interest in expanding their research to include the SDGs framework. The session emphasized: \u2022 Understanding the 17 UN SDGs and their relevance to logistics and supply chains. \u2022 Identifying potential research themes that contribute to multiple SDG targets, such as SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). \u2022 Strategies to design interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research projects that respond to real-world logistics challenges and sustainability imperatives. \u2022 Practical guidance on grant proposal development for both internal and external research funding bodies, including national agencies and international development organizations. \u2022 Mechanisms to translate academic research into policy recommendations or community-based applications, thereby ensuring broader impact in line with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9dcfcde e-flex e-con-boxed wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"9dcfcde\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-core-v316-plus=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b56fc99 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b56fc99\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 This activity demonstrates the Faculty of Logistics\u2019 commitment to advancing research excellence in alignment with global sustainability agendas. By equipping researchers with the tools and perspectives needed to address complex, interdisciplinary challenges, the Faculty contributes meaningfully to the realization of the SDGs. The workshop also reinforces Burapha University\u2019s role as a hub of sustainable innovation and academic leadership in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and beyond.<\/p><p><strong>Impacts:<\/strong><\/p><p>The session fostered active dialogue among faculty and support staff, leading to:\u00a0<\/p><p>\u2022 Increased awareness of global development frameworks among university researchers.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u2022 Enhanced ability to integrate SDG-based criteria into research design and evaluation.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u2022 Networking opportunities and shared understanding of funding mechanisms to support sustainable research.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u2022 Commitment among participants to further align research activities with national development goals and the university\u2019s strategic research agenda.<\/p><p><strong>Date of Implementation: <\/strong>June 10, 2025<\/p><p><strong>Project Supervisor: <\/strong>Assoc.
