As the \u201cheart of learning,\u201d the library plays a crucial role in shaping students\u2019 behaviours and values.<\/p><p>This project integrates two key dimensions: <strong>Green Mind<\/strong>, which emphasises mental wellness, meaningful learning, and a sense of belonging; and <strong>Green Campus<\/strong>, which focuses on efficient resource use, waste reduction, and sustainable materials.<\/p><p>A survey of library users revealed strong student interest in creative activities, such as DIY projects and experience-sharing sessions. These activities encourage engagement and foster interaction with the library space, its resources, and services. Moreover, they reflect students\u2019 desire for a space where they can express their identity, emotions, and social and environmental responsibility through creative participation.<\/p><p>In response, the International College initiated this project under the concept <em>\u201cGreen Mind, Green Campus: Transforming the World Through the Library\u2014Starting from Mind and Environment.\u201d<\/em> The aim is to develop the library into a vibrant, user-friendly learning space and a model of sustainable thinking and environmentally conscious student interaction with library spaces, resources, and services through creative activities.<\/li><li>To cultivate awareness of waste reduction, responsible resource use, and mental health \u201cGreen Mind, Green Campus\u201d student development project was organised by the International College to encourage active library use while fostering environmental awareness and mental well-being, in alignment with the university\u2019s Green Campus\/Green Office policies and the SDGs.<\/p><p>The project was conducted over four weeks, from <strong>February 9 to March 4, 2026<\/strong>, every Monday to Wednesday at the International College Library. Key activities included:<\/p><ol><li><strong>Eco-Friendly Plant Pots from Plastic Bottles<\/strong> \u2013 promoting recycling and waste reduction.<\/li><li><strong>Borrow Books, Earn Points<\/strong> \u2013 encouraging reading and lifelong learning through a reward system.<\/li><li><strong>Weekly Quiz Challenges<\/strong> \u2013 enhancing general knowledge through interactive games.<\/li><li><strong>Mood Chart Board<\/strong> \u2013 providing a space for emotional expression and supporting mental well-being.<\/li><\/ol><p>The project followed the <strong>PDCA (Plan\u2013Do\u2013Check\u2013Act)<\/strong> process, including planning, proposal submission, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
